2016 Essentials Backup Setup Issue

Setup new server with 2016 Essentials.  Everything working great except Local Server Backup.  When I try to setup Backup for the Server the Setup Loading Data window opens and just keeps running.  I have let it run for over an hour and it just keeps showing Loading Data.  When I try and cancel the Loading Data window it greys out but won't close.  I have to use Task Manager to close.

    To setup my WSE2016 I used a book called: Windows Server 2016 Essentials Installation Guide for Small Businesses, it helped a lot (the new updated 2021 version has gotten very expensive).

    On your question on page 108 1st it says 1st to connect a suitable drive to the server by USB, eSATA or Thunderbolt connectors.

    Launch the Dashboard, click DEVICES, highlight the server & in the rt. hand panel click Setup Backup for Server. 

    Not sure if you followed these steps, if you did you may have other problems.

    *On mine after my 1st install I wanted to have Windows Photo Viewer so I installed that & it broke my WSE2016 so now I don't mess w/ installing anything (apps) on  the WSE2016 OS at all.
