Hi All:
I have Windows Server 2012 R2 Essential installed on my system. When I try to back up my server I get the following error message, you can see from the screenshot that the service is enabled, however, the next screen shot is the error message. Can someone tell me how to fix this so that I can backup my server. I have also attached a copy of the event logs, I am hoping that someone can peruse this log and tell me how to fix the errors that I am getting on Schannel and Service Control Manager, thanks, Allen
You probably need to enable TLS 1.2 as the default version to use for communication.
Hi:
Is there a tutorial on how to enable TLS on the server? thanks, Allen
I have attached a zip file that contains two registry files that you need to import on your server and after that reboot the server.
BTW, if this does not work we need to dig deeper but from the logs you attached this seems to be the solution
Thank you, I am installing them now and will let you know, how it turns out, Allen
I am not seeing the schannel error message anymore, however, I still get the Azure backup screen error message, Allen
I spoke too so, attached you will find some of the entries in the event log of the error messages that I am receivingf, thanks, Allen
Are you using the latest Azure Backup tool? Can you run a backup from Windows Server Backup instead of the integrated dashboard?
I am not sure if it is the latest backup tool and I am running it from the desktop icon and not the dashboard, Allen
I still have the same problem, backup will not start, Allen
Try uninstalling Azure backup, reboot server and reinstall Azure backup
