can I in-place upgrade from WSE 2016 to WSE 2019?

From windwos server 2019 it is possible to do an "IN-Place" upgrade from Windows Server 2016 on the same server.

does Anyone know if I can do an "In-Place" upgrade from WSE 2016 to WSE 2019? how can I do if I have to upgrade on the same machine and not migrate to another server? 

WSE 2016 is in a VM hosted on Hyper-v Core, is it better to migrate to WSE 2019 on another Vm?

    Inplace upgrades are always a bad idea if you ask me. The effort of migrating to another VM is not so big so I would migrate.
