Migration SBS 2011 Essentials to 2016 Server Essentials
DHCP server migration was successful and is working correctly. However, DHCP server name on 2016 Server is "169.254.229.220" instead of server name (eg server2016.contoso.local). See attached screen shot. I can't see any way to change the name.
This can happen if you have multiple network adapters on that server. Disable all but the one you actually use. Another reason is that the IP address given to the server has is in use by some other device though I doubt that happens during a migration.
Thank you. That was it! :-)
