Hello All:

I recently completed changing my domain name from one name to another. After finishing the process, I ran the dcdiag command and obtained a dcdiag.txt file. I need someone to peruse this dcdiag file and tell me how to correct the errors that I am receiving when I run the command. FYI, the new domain name is a Microsoft domain, stoneandstone1.com and not the personal/business domain, stone-and-stone.com that I was using before. The 24.92.226.11 & 12 are my internet provider's IP addresses. I am wondering if that has something to do with the errors that I am receiving. Any help with fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated.

One other question, after removing the old domain name from the computer, will windows automatically recognize that there is a new domain and allow me to login to that domain with my existing credentials or must I create a new login before removing the old domain name? thanks, Allen

There is no difference between a, by you called 'Microsoft domain', and any other domain like server-essentials.com. The only difference is probably the registrar and/or the party that holds name servers for the domain.

    Hi:

After reviewing your comment again, I realized that 127.0.0.1 was in the preferred dns server slot and ran the test again attached is the results,  accordingly, you can forget the first question. Your assistance with the 2nd question would be appreciated, thanks, Allen

    Hi:

I finished the tutorial instructions, removed the old domain name, ran the dns test, see attached. However, I am still facing that same problem. When the computer boots up and gets to the login screen, I still see stone-and-stone as the login domain. Am I stuck with that or is there a way to change it to reflect stoneandstone1, I hope that I am not pestering you about this, but, I would like to see that on the computer. Please advise as to whether or not that can be changed, thank you for your anticipated response, Allen

That login before the login screen is cached. You might be able to remove it by creating another administrator and delete the profile of the one you still see but remember it is cosmetic and probably will go away after some time.
