Folder redirection migration OK for all folders but one (music)

hello,

I'm migrating my WSE 2016 to WS 2022 Standard an I'm at step 10

I wrote the GPO and everething is ok (after one gp uopdate /force and a lot of reboots) but there is a sync issue with the music folder which is still redirected to the older server.

When I look after the sync partnership on one of the clients PCs, in the offline files windows, I see 2 lines : one syncing with the new server (DCE-2022), the other disconnected from the older server (DCE-Familial) : see attached file.

Hello,

I realize that this issue with Music is just on one user account (Christophe). The redirection of the music folder works with the other user accounts.

There is a little difference between the accounts when you look at them in the server explorer. The name of the folder is not written the same way : In the Christophe account, it is written in french and accessible with the music icon. In the other accounts, it is written in english and not accessible (see attached file).

I just installed a new client computer : the GPO applied for every redirected folder but Music : this time I can see that there is no redirection for Music (c:\users..). UPDATE : in the Christophe account only

    Good evening,

    eventually I solved this issue and I wanted to share it.

    There was a problem with the user permissions of the target redirected folder "Music" : UserName must have Full Control, owner of folder

    And it worked (clik on the following the post : Folder redirection not working with GPO (microsoft.com) )
