OLD: SBS 2011 physical server with 6 users and 19 workstations
NEW: WSE 2019 essentials physical with just the hyper-v role, and then again WSE 2016 essential as guest os that will be the new dc, dns, dhcp and fileserver.
I'm at the point that the wse2019essentials is installed as hyper-v host and guest on a new "iron" as we say, and I'm ready to do the migration.
I would want to have the same IP, name (and domain) on the new dc
The old sbs 2011 is somewhat broken but still in service. The sbs2011 standard console is more or less useless/fubar, and the server suffered ransom attack year ago, so even so it's not infected and in service, it could possibly affect migration.
I'm a Microsoft Certified pro, just the old windows XP mcp certification but I've been supporting windows server environments for the last 20 years. I'm still very nervous when it comes to migrating domain controllers, it doesn't happen that often here in the rural areas of iceland :)
I need someone to hold my hand. Does server-essentials.com provide services that could help me doing this migration more effortless? If so, I would like to get in direct contact with someone at sales.
