The gateway in my network is at 192.168.16.2 and that is a router. If your new DC runs on 192.168.0.101 and your old SBS runs on 192.168.0.201 you should set Preferred DNS on the new DC to the IP address of the old SBS = 192.168.0.201 and Alternate to 127.0.0.1.
It cannot be that your Gateway has the same IP address as the old SBSe. If that is really the case the SBS has been installed in a not supported way, it is then a router and you are facing problems.
Pls, post the output of ipconfig /all in your answer so that we can see what is going on.
