May update once again breaks the connector

I gave one desktop, that was connected just fine, the 'opportunity' to upgrade to v2004 when the May update was offered.  This seems to be another of those complete OS rebuilds that takes multi-gig downloads and hours to install.  The Essentials Client connector had to be re-installed after it finally came back to life practically taking all night.

I mean.. Does exist a method to do that automatically on large number of client? Something like a Powershell script?

I've just installed  2004 upgrade on 2 machines and Essential Client Connector doesn't connect to server and it remains grey. DO you solve this problem re-installing the connector? how can I do this?

    What I have done is-

    On the client desktops, uninstall the client connector in Control Panel > Programs, delete the 'Windows Server' folders in both Program Files and Program Files x86 folders.  There is also a folder in Program Data, but I haven't found it necessary to delete that.

    Run the Connect Computer sequence. 

    Worked for me.  This seems to happen on all the major updates.
