Migrating SBS 2008 to Server 2016 (not Essentials) - Time sync question

Hi,

I am following the guide to do this migration which is going well. However, I have started seeing the error "PDC emulator master in this forest should be configured to correctly synchronize time" in server manager now (it didn't for the first week or so) - are the instructions in the article "Virtualization of your Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials and set time service on your virtualized domain controller" relevant for Windows Server 2016. This is a virtualized environment with Windows Server 2016 as both the Hyper-V host and VM(s).

Many thanks,

Mike.

    Hi Mariette

I used this tutorial having migrated sbs2011 to server 2019.

I have tried to complete the task manually as the fixit tool did not work.

W32 time quey source returns CMOS clock any ideas on troubleshooting?

    Mariette,

I ran the Fixit tool again with only one server in the box provided for NTP server and it worked.

It has never worked when I provided two servers in this box
