migration order

I goes thru all points of SBS2011 migration to WS2016 and I didn't find steps when should I install Hyper-V and second instance of WS2016 and what order Exchange migration should be done. I see just uninstalling Exchange 2010. Would you send plan point by point including global plan or order to migrate WS2008R2 and Exchange from SBS20011?

    As I earlier said designing the Hyper-V infrastructure is not part of the migration kit. You should see your Hyper-V server as your foundation for the two VM's that run the new DC and the new Exchange Server. In a nutshell, you do this:

    1. On the new hardware install Windows Server 2016 and add the Hyper-V role. Nothing else is installed on the Hyper-V host, it will not run any other roles.
    2. On the Hyper-V host add two virtual machines, one for the new DC and one for the new Exchange Server
    3. On the virtual machine that should run your new Exchange Server start with this guide Migrate Exchange Server 2010 from SBS 2011 to a new Exchange Server 2016 on Windows Server 2016.
    4. You can finish the Exchange Server migration without having done anything else.
    5. Now install the VM that will run your new DC and configure it according to the migration guide of your choice.

    Your migration can start as soon as you have installed and configured the Hyper-V Host and the VM's are ready. Most clients do the Exchange Server migration first and then the rest but it can also be done in a different order depending on your needs.

    I see new  'How to set up and configure a Hyper-V host in a migration scenario from SBS 2008 or 2011' and look very useful. Im confused with some points:

    1. Static IP address of Hyper-V host - new WS2016 host is not a part of existing SBS2011 network, where main SBS server is DNS machine. Should I point SBS IP address as DNS for new 2016 or use different IP?

    2. After VM is ready I should migrate Exchange first. What about is point 1.9. Copy the Powershell commands from the downloads and set all variables to your situation. What to copy and from ? Is it the time when I input domain name? How is it related to running SBS?

    1. If the Hyper-V Host is not yet a member of the domain and installed as a standalone Hyper-V host you can use any DNS server that is available.
    2. On the bottom of the guide, you will find a zip file that contains all you need.
