Hi,
I am looking for documentation for moving Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise computers from Windows Server 2012 Essentials and joining to new installation of Windows Server Standard 2019. The 2012 server will be in use at an old location; user's workstations will be moved from the old location to a new location with Windows Server Standard 2019 installed. Do user profiles have to be rebuilt to join to the new server? Or what is the process for unjoining the old domain and joining the new domain. Thanks!

Hello Beverly,
If you do a proper migration from 2012 to 2019 you don't need to rebuild any profiles, they all stay the same. We do not unjoin and rejoin because that would mean loss of profiles, security or data. Who wants that?
Here is the migration kit you need for your project: Windows Server 2012 migration kits
