I'm doing a conversion for a client from an old server running Windows 2012 R2 to a new server running Windows 2016 Essentials using this guide. I'm on "Step 8 - Check Active Directory Health and Replication", and I've completed the following:
C:\Windows\system32>net share Share name Resource Remark ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- C$ C:\ Default share E$ E:\ Default share IPC$ Remote IPC ADMIN$ C:\Windows Remote Admin The command completed successfully. C:\Windows\system32>
I've had to fix quite a few things on the 2012 server so not sure if it's related to anything there.
Any suggestions on what I can check for?
Thanks! Todd
This was a classical issue with AD replication not working because the old server had already problems before the new one was introduced. Todd and I connected over Skype and Teamviewer and fixed this issue together with How to force an authoritative and non-authoritative synchronization for DFSR-replicated SYSVOL (like "D4/D2" for FRS)
