As part of an SBS 2011 Essentials to Server 2016 Essentials migration, I'm running the Active Directory checks described in the "Understanding Active Directory Health during an Active Directory migration and tools you can use like repadmin and dcdiag" document.
I'm getting an RREG: Warn on the 2016 Server. Scrolling through the tests I found the following two errors. Is this something I should be concerned about, or can I continue with the migration? Thanks.
Error:
Missing SRV record at DNS server 192.168.1.25
_ldap._tcp.pdc._msdcs.BT.local
[Error details: 9003 (Type: Win32 - Description: DNS name does not exist.)]
Missing SRV record at DNS server 192.168.1.10
Travis,
On both DC run ipconfig /flushdns and then ipconfig /registerdns. After this restart Netlogon and DNS. That should clear it under normal circumstance. If it does not and all other tests run fine and you have a SYSVOL on both DC you can continue the migration
