Have an original SBS2012 (not r2) migration to Windows Server 2022 Standard. I've made it to Step 4, Substep 22 where I should see replication going on and eventually the SYSVOL and NETLOGON folders being shared. But we are not getting replication to work. I'm seeing the SYSVOL being shared out on the new DC, but not NETLOGON. I can't seem to find any errors on either server, as well, to indicate what's going on.
On the Windows Server 2022 I'm seeing Warning 5014, Errors 5002, and 4612 about 15 seconds later, but then it appears to clear out with event 5004. I see this being duplicated a few times during the day. Same series of events, which I see to be normal.
On the SBS2012, I'm seeing nothing. No errors, nothing. So I ran repadmin /showrepl on both servers and see all 5 inbound processes showing as "successful" (again - on both servers). I've rebooted both servers. Nothing.,
Both Forest and Domain functional levels are set to Windows Server 2012 (can't go higher until we decommission this server). So the only thing I can think of is some sort of incompatibility between Server 2012 and 2022??? I would expect to see something in the error logs. I'm at my witts end - any suggestions or ideas? Thanks.
Shawn, pls check if NTfrs is running on the source server? If that is not the case send me a private email so we can do a Teams session?
This was fixed by recreating the folder that is shared for the Netlogon share.
