Hello !
I have connected a new MacBook Client to a Windows 2016 Domain - with Feature Essentials installed - Using your Installation Guide.
It works fine, but I have one Problem :
When I write/copy a file from the Mac to the Windows Server Shared Folder the file - information about the security rights a different.
On MAC Security Information : the User who writes the file was listet with the rights "reading/writing".
On the Windows Maschine with the Shared Folder : The User who writes the files wasn`t listed
so he cannot open the file from a different Mac Client or Windows Client.
Have you any idear to solve this problem ?
What OS version has the Mac?
High Sierra, the newest version
I think it`s a problem with the User ID, because ...
when i attach the User on the Windows Maschine
you see the user twice (as two different User with the same name)
Have you any idear to syncronize the User ID ?
you see the user twice (as two different User with the same name) on the MacBook security informations
Must be something to do with High Sierra and Windows Server. Are logged in to the Mac as a Domain User?
Yes, I am.
And there isn`t a local account with the same name on the mac.
There is only a LAD Account (Local Administrator) on the MacBook to connect the MacBook to the AD Domain.
The User is directly connected to the Domain with creating a local copy of the profile during the first connection.
This is nessesary for using the MacBook also without connection to the Domain with this User account.
Maybe you know a way how to transfer the Windows SID (Security Identifier) to the Mac (Unix) UID (User Identifiers) - (During the first connection) ?
This might be the solution ?
Thanks for your help !
