Hi All,
Silly question I'm sure.
This weekend I'm intending to switch over to office 365 email. I'm doing this mail switch over before doing any migration steps from sbs 2011 standard to server 2019 standard.
Just wanted to check if I will be able to connect to the office SBS2011 server using a computer with Office 2016 after I've done the following link below - I realise it is only dealing with autodiscover but I'm still dealing with a few old ex-employee mailboxes that I want to archive to pst. The majority of mailboxes I have pre-migrated using Migrationwiz but obviously want to keep the cost down with their system hence doing a few mailbox to pst

As I said, just want one computer to be able to connect to the SBS old exchange server to do this house keeping.
Anything else I need to watch out for??
Thank you in advance
Autodiscover is probably the only issue you will have but if all mailboxes are in the cloud and you have exported those to pst files that you need for archive purposes I would uninstall the old Exchange Server 2010 asap as that will clean up your AD and give less autodiscover issues.
I've done the autodiscover removal step https://server-essentials.com/support/email-migration-from-sbs-2011-with-exchange-2010-to-office-365-and-autodiscover-settings-in-outlook and restarted the server - All OK.
I'm on some users desktops which are running Outlook 2013 and trying to create a new profile to look for the Office 365 system - however it joins with the exchange2010 internal server.
Any clue to what I have missed?
