My WSE2016 Dashboard SERVICES Microsoft Cloud Services Intergration swirling please see picture. I have check a few of my other customers dashbards and they are all swirling is this an update that has killed the function or is it because microsoft intergration is down ?
We need to 'enable' TLS 1.2 because that I what Office 365 expects since Jan. 2020. I have another WSE 2012 R2 running so I have some screenshots for you to clarify the issue for you and anybody who has this issue.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\WinHttp] "DefaultSecureProtocols"=dword:00000a00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\WinHttp] "DefaultSecureProtocols"=dword:00000a00
The above setting enables TLS 1.1 and 1.2 but disables the unsecure SSL 3.0, 2.0 and TLS 1.0
Save the above registry entry to 'DefaultSecureProtocols.reg' and merge it to your system and reboot. Or you can download a zipped version here https://server-essentials.com/Portals/0/Download/DefaultSecureProtocols.zip
Sorry to say that the Microsoft Cloud services Intergration is still swirling.
Did you reboot?
Your browser doesn't have Flash, Silverlight or HTML5 support.
I downloaded the zip file, merged the entries, checked the regedit entries and rebooted.
David, as you may already be aware from other current and unresolved forum postings, I believe this problem along with the problem I reported: WS2016E Computer Monitoring Errors; are all elated to the fact that Microsoft has broken the backend fwlink: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=785361. It appears in both our cases that the failing components are: MicrosoftSecurity!OnlineServicesPackageUpdate. <AdditionalInfo> 'doctype' is an unexpected token. The expected token is 'DOCTYPE'. Line 1, position 3. In reviewing the other forum posts it's not clear to me if Microsoft is actively working towards a fix?
So its not just me there are other reports of the same problem, looks like microsoft just killed off WSE 2016.

I mainly use WSE 2016 as it has the remote desktop intergration, is there and alternative remote desktop option for WSE 2019 ?
So it is early days but there is a temporary fix to this problem you should look at this link.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/470385/the-windows-server-essentials-service-cannot-synch.html?page=2&pageSize=10&sort=oldest
In short: restore these 2 files from a backup prior to 31/08/2021 (take a backup first) C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Server\Data\Cloud\ OnlineServicesConfigFile-AU.xml OnlineServicesConfigLanguageResourceFile-EN-AU.xml Then make them readonly so microsoft cant over write them.
In the link above the author mentions to only resotore OnlineServicesConfigFile-AU.xml but I found I needed to restore both.
