Users are having problems using Quickbooks 2017 in multi-user mode. There seems to be some kind of conflict with the multi-user database server. I've read online that some of the ports it uses interferes with Microsoft DNS, but i'm not certain. Has anyone else had this problem?
Looks like it takes ports 8019, 56727, 55373-55377. Currently, i've disabled the firewall policy on clients to test, but I was unable to disable the firewall on the server to test temporarily. It tells me that some settings are managed by my administrator. I thought I was the administrator.
Michael opened a ticket at Premier Support for SMB and we worked on this together. Some other technician messed up the server and I fixed the issue and opened ports for Quickbooks the correct way.
I had this issue before on a client from Canada. I created a policy to open ports for Sage for them but I suppose Quickbooks will not be much different.
