WSE 2016 migration, 60 days later

Hi everyone :)

Last migration from 2012 Essentials to 2016 Essentials didn't go super smoothly, but after a few glitches everything was running smoothly.

Recently, been getting this error in the health report :

Event ID: 4012

The DFS Replication service stopped replication on the folder with the following local path: C:\Windows\SYSVOL\domain. This server has been disconnected from other partners for 79 days, which is longer than the time allowed by the MaxOfflineTimeInDays parameter (60). DFS Replication considers the data in this folder to be stale, and this server will not replicate the folder until this error is corrected.

As if it was still looking for the old 2012 server, but it's been decommissioned for a while now...

Where do i need to go to get rid of the old server ?  ADSIEdit ?  Don't want to make any mistakes :)

Yes, it's the server that you played around with a few months back, that didn't want to originally replicate it's SYSVOL/NETLOGON folders before I could decommission the old 2012 Essentials.

Since having (and solving) these issues during the migration, everything has been running smoothly, and now it seems traces of the old 2012 server seems to still be in the domain somewhere...

Just wanted to be sure as to where to look to find this 2012 server in my domain configuration to erase it once and for all :)

Patrick.

Hello Patrick, was this the server you had upgraded DFS to DFSR and ran into issues? Just trying to remember what we did? In addition to this you may want to read How to force an authoritative and non-authoritative synchronization for DFSR-replicated SYSVOL (like "D4/D2" for FRS) to fix this in the case you upgraded to DFSR
