How to setup DNS for IIS Website on Windows Server 2016?

Can somebody please remind me how to setup the DNS for my IIS Website on Windows Server 2016?  (Hopefully I'm saying that right)  I have a site setup on Windows Server 2016 (IIS) and a static IP Address from my ISP.  I have setup port forwarding to use port 81 on my router.  I can access the site just fine using the IP Address ( :81/WEB/Login).  However, I'm having a brain cramp as to how to map the IP address to my domain name so it's not showing the IP Address.  This is an secondary website for only certain ...

Pardon the Noobian question but...Are they the same. R2 is just the Service Pack. I have run all of the updates, but i do not have R2. What am i missing?

Server 2016 migration - cannot get Client Connect software to run - server unavailable.

Hi - Migration from sbs 2012r2 to Server 2016 Essentials.  Have had a myriad of problems, even paid Microsoft. (a wierd problem with .Net30 not installing due to need of Portuguese - Brazil keyboard). Another big problem initially was certs.  I had to regen the cert for the remote access. thats now working correctly.  I may still have a problem here - when I access the server from itself or a workstation as "https://[Servername]/ I get "SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER" in firefox.  however, all remote service works (web/remote access/VPN).  I believe it is a self signed cert problem but I've ...

SBS2011 - Exch 2010 to Exch 2016 Public Folder Content Migration

I'm just migrating mailboxes right now and will be migrating the Public Folders soon. The Public Folders contain various calendars for scheduling resources and I just want to confirm that the calendars will transfer over and will be available to everyone after they've been moved to Exch2016.  I'm aware that Exch2016 has special accounts for this and will be training them on it once the migration has happened. Scalable BackUp Storage for Windows Server 2016

Add new user to PC access post deployment with Essentials Connector

Lets Encrypt

Last year I did 6 conversions from SBS2011 to ESS2016 / Exchange 2016 using your guides. Their certificates will be up for renewal shortly and I would like to convert to Lets Encrypt. So I need to be sure that the certificate will support: domain.com.au autodiscover.domain.com.au mail.domain.com.au remote.domain.com.au Also this Christmas I will be converting 8 sites, I would have preferred to upgrade to Essentials 2019 / Server 2019 / Exchange 2019 is this still not an option?

Setting up Let's encrypt after using remotewebaccess.com

We set up a new 2016 standard server with essentials role a few months back and set up anywhere access using the free remotewebaccess.com domain which has worked fine for us on previous windows versions however it seems that on server 2016 standard there's a common problem which appears to be with the certificates which means that the server has to be restarted every 24 hours otherwise the anywhere access stops working. AD Replication Schedule Before Adding New AD Server

I'm about to add a new Windows 2016 Standard server to an existing Windows 2003 server domain.  Prior to making this change, is there a suggested AD replication schedule that should be used?  All of my AD servers have always used once per hour for the schedule within AD Sites and Services and the transport type is a mixture of IP and RPC. Uninstall Exchange 2010 From Network Following Office365 Cutover

WSE2016 not starting Health/Notification/Management service automatically when awaked from sleep mode

I am using WSE2016 and LightsOut as a replacement of an older WHS configuration. LightsOut brings WES into sleep mode when no client connections exists to save energy. Unfortunately, the WSE did not start the Health/Notification/Management service automatically after awaked again. What can I do to fix this?

Firewall policy changes in 2016?

In the past year, we've done several SBS upgrades to 2016 Essentials or 2016 Full w/Essentials Role installed (all of these moved Exchange to 365). Something I can't explain and can't find any documentation on, however, is that when we bring online NEW Windows 10 workstations into the domain, we cannot PING them or see file-sharing services. Yet... all the migrated Windows 10 computers are fine (ping/file sharing). My plan is to migrate SBS2011 (server 1) including Exchange to a new server running Server Std 2016 (server 2) and Exchange 2016, then rebuild the old server (server 1) with Server Std 2016 as the DC and a SQL database.
